Utagawa Kuniyoshi Wooden Puzzle | Samurai Gongsun | Japanese Art Jigsaw Puzzle

$110 $150

Gongsun Sheng, The Dragon In The Clouds (Nyuunryu Kosonsho), circa 1827- 1830 by Utagawa Kuniyoshi.

During the Edo period in Japan, the ukiyo-e style of art, particularly woodblock prints, thrived. The Utagawa school, led by artists like Toyokuni Utagawa, played a significant role in producing these prints, often depicting battles of samurai heroes. The popularity of samurai-themed ukiyo-e prints continues to influence contemporary media, including anime series like Samurai Champloo and Rurouni Kenshin, which draw inspiration from traditional Japanese art and the Edo period. Other samurai-themed anime such as Hakuouki, Gintama, Naruto, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Afro Samurai, Sengoku Basara, Samurai 7, Samurai Flamenco, Dororo, and Samurai Deeper Kyo also incorporate elements of traditional Japanese art and samurai culture. Have fun with our puzzle!

Poor quality

The item arrived with separated corner joints and tremendous chemical odor, so much I had to leave the item outside for a few days to diffuse. This was a Christmas gift so I’m really disappointed. I was offered a refund to return the item like that’s what I want to run around and do this time of year. I’m really surprised there are no quality checks before each item is shipped especially if you advertise that each item is hand made.

William, I hope you are having a good day. As we discussed over email and as per our warranty policies, in order to receive a refund, you will need to send the product back to me. As I had mentioned before, I will provide you with the shipping label. This will allow me to inspect the product, make necessary improvements, and train my team at the shop. Additionally, there are people out there who try to scam and abuse small businesses, so our return policies have to be very clear.

I apologize that your experience was not what you expected. As I mentioned in my initial email, you can take your time and ship the product back after the holidays. I am extremely proud of the work we do and I appreciate your feedback.
